BIOGRAFIA DEL REGISTA
Peter Looles è nato nel 2004 ad Atene. I suoi genitori erano (e sono tuttora) entrambi artisti e fin da giovanissimo ha sviluppato un forte interesse per l’arte, in particolare per i fumetti e il cinema. Tra gli 11 e i 12 anni ha autopubblicato due fumetti, “The War of the Frames” e “The Weird Case of Miss Goat 2015”, con i quali ha partecipato a diversi festival del fumetto. Basandosi sul primo dei suoi fumetti, ha realizzato il suo primo cortometraggio d’animazione (di tre complessivi), proiettato al Camera Zizanio – Olympia Int’l Film Festival for Children and Young People. Nel 2021 ha distribuito il suo primo cortometraggio live-action, Zenith, selezionato in molteplici festival cinematografici, dove ha vinto due premi come miglior regista esordiente e una menzione d’onore. Nel 2024 ha diretto il cortometraggio documentario Make Love, Not Porn, anch’esso proiettato in numerosi festival, ottenendo due premi e due menzioni d’onore. Nel 2025 ha firmato il suo secondo cortometraggio di finzione, As of Today. Finora il film è stato presentato in vari festival, aggiudicandosi un premio e due menzioni d’onore. Peter ha partecipato a numerosi seminari dedicati ai fumetti e ai documentari e attualmente studia Cinema presso l’Università Aristotele di Salonicco. Inoltre, da molti anni scrive recensioni di fumetti, film e libri su Instagram, attraverso il suo profilo @art_fanatic_31.
DIRECTOR BIOGRAPHY
Peter Looles was born in 2004, in Athens. His parents were (and still are) both artists and from a very young age he developed an interest in arts, specifically in comics and cinema. Between the ages of 11-12 he self-published two comics, “The War of the Frames” and “The Weird Case of Miss Goat 2015”, with which he participated in comic festivals. Based on the first of his comics, he made his first (of three) short animation films, which was screened at the Camera Zizanio – Olympia Int’l Film Festival for Children and Young People. In 2021 he released his first live action short, “Zenith”, which was selected in multiple film festivals, winning two awards for best first time director and one honorable mention. In 2024 he released the short documentary “Make Love, Not Porn”, which was also screened in multiple festivals and won two awards and two honorable mentions. In 2025 he directed his second short fiction “As of Today”. The film has been screened in various festivals and has won one award and two honorable mentions so far. Peter has participated in multiple seminars on comics and documentaries and is currently studying Cinema in the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Besides that, he has been writing reviews for comics, films and books on Instagram for many years, on his account @art_fanatic_31.

Questo cortometraggio è stato girato durante i miei studi alla Scuola di Cinema dell’Università Aristotele di Salonicco, in Grecia. È un lavoro nato sotto una grandissima pressione di tempo e con ancora più passione. Spero che questa passione sia qualcosa che riesca a trasparire ben più della fretta…
DIRECTOR STATEMENT
This short film was shot during my studies at the Film School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. It’s a work that was made under a lot of time pressure and even more passion. Hopefully this passion is something that’ll shine through more than the time pressure…
